SuperZoo 2022
It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year…if you’re in the pet industry that is. I journeyed back to Las Vegas for SuperZoo 2022 this past week, and it felt like a reunion of sorts. In case you haven’t heard of it before, SuperZoo is the pet industry’s largest trade show in the United States, and people come from all over the world.
We’re back at SuperZoo!
We were going non-stop from the moment the wheels touched down on the tarmac until they lifted off again taking us home at the end of the week.
The first couple of days were filled with retail education sessions and various discussion panels, learning from industry experts. Later that afternoon The Purrrfectly Holistic Radio Show was broadcast live from the Mandalay Bay as well, followed by dinner at House of Blues.
This year was the first time I actually left the hotel and did something outside the event itself. We “Ubered” down to the New York, New York Hotel for a roller coaster ride, dinner, and the Cirque du Soleil show The Mad Apple. Despite a disappointing meal, the roller coaster ride and Mad Apple show did not disappoint!

Walking the trade show floor takes days, and you still leave feeling like you didn’t see everything. Despite aching feet and talking over the noise, there’s an energy and sense of excitement that you can literally feel. Checking out new products and brands as well as reconnecting with our favorite familiar ones is always a pleasure. I left with so much swag, products and purchases that FedEx had to ship some home! Next year I’ll be taking a bigger suitcase for sure.
SuperZoo reunites the Pet Health Junkies
One of the most fun events was the Pet Health Junkies party hosted by The Two Crazy Cat Ladies, Jae and Adrienne. Connected in spirit and passion by our love for naturally healthy pets, it was amazing to finally be together in person!
SuperZoo never disappoints, and this year it felt bigger and better than years past. In reality, the pet retail industry is growing at such a fast pace it’s hard for businesses and manufacturers to keep up. The best part was reconnecting with friends in person, including many I’ve only had the pleasure of “meeting” online until now. Plus, it was truly awesome making new friends and building relationships that will continue to blossom throughout the years to come. In fact, we are already planning more online events in the upcoming weeks and months!
