How Does Your Vet Treat Cat Health Issues?
How we cope with cat health issues Cat health issues can be very challenging. As cat parents we absolutely want what is best for our cats, so when something goes wrong we go straight to the vet. Just like when our cars break down, trips to the vet are neither cheap nor convenient. Oftentimes our […]

Helping Kensie Overcome Cat Health Problems
Kensie was a beautiful brown tabby with big green eyes and a sweet, gentle disposition. She received her round of kitten shots, and was spayed within her first year. She was also the runt of the litter and began having health challenges at a very early age. Various visits to the vet and a belief that she had outdoor allergies resulted in repeated antibiotics and steroid shots.

Helping A Feral Cat: Jarvis’ Story
Have you ever encountered a feral cat who was injured and needed help? A couple of weeks ago I was finally able to get a closer look at our furry orange neighbor. He had the saddest eyes I’ve ever seen. I saw several red, open wounds around his neck. Some of the open wounds were partially covered in black, including inside one of his ears. Help! My Cat Is Vomiting!

When you start to notice that your cat is having more frequent episodes it’s time to investigate. Despite what your vet or other cat parents may tell you, chronic vomiting in cats is not normal.

Cats With Pancreatitis–The Road To Recovery
My own personal experience began many years ago when my own cat, Hershey, developed pancreatitis out of the blue. It resulted in several more episodes every few weeks, several vet visits, and medication for nausea and antibiotics. When the vet could do no more to help he recommended I go see a specialist. In my heart I knew there was a better way than being on medication for the rest of his life–determine and treat the cause not the symptoms.

CBD And Cats: What You Need To Know
With so many studies proving the many benefits of marijuana and hemp products on human health it was only a matter of time before the pet market would be next. When the traditional veterinary model isn’t working cat guardians start looking outside the box at alternatives, and one of the first things they’re asking about is CBD and cats.

Nilla’s Lifelong Battle With Food Aversion
Is Your Cat Food Averse? However strange it may seem, there are cats who are just not into food. It doesn’t matter what you offer or try to bribe them with, they will eat the bare minimum and that’s it. Food aversion in cats can be a very serious thing. In my experience over the […]

Vomiting In Cats: Morgan’s Story
When vomiting in cats is more than just fur balls Cat parents all recognize that familiar sound when our cat is about to throw up: gluck, gluck, gluck… It’s certainly not a fun experience for the cat or the person having to clean up the mess. Especially when it happens in the middle of the […]
